Currently we have a vacancy for the position of Licensing Manager – Southeast Asia and Oceania
The Challenge
In this role you are responsible for the development of our market, sales and licensing success in Southeast Asia and Oceania. Commercialization of the licensed technology and know-how developed by Stamicarbon as well as active pursuit of new industrial projects will be your focus. These projects tend to be large, with long, relationship-based sales cycles and an emphasis on reliable technology and trustworthy commercial interaction. Your market requires that you ‘be there’ for primary customer interaction, development and negotiation. Stamicarbon has a decades’ long presence in this region, ensuring you are always competitive in your licensing efforts, and our home office supports with full, skilled technical and support teams.
Technology Licensing Manager
Your key areas of responsibility are:
• Build and maintain a world class business network of clients and partners in Southeast Asia and Oceania;
• Lead the commercialization of strategic technological and innovation developments in this region;
• Determine and lead the business development and partnering strategy in this region;
• Coordinate the development of business plans in order to acquire license projects in this region;
• Provide guidance and trend information for relevant developments to supporting colleagues;
• Work with relevant proposal managers and technical teams in maximizing the value of Stamicarbon’s offerings;
• Negotiate and conclude corresponding sales contracts completely, with the support of proposal managers in maximizing the value of Stamicarbon’s offerings;
• Determine joint communication and promotion policies for Stamicarbon's products for Southeast Asia and Oceania;
• Contribute to development and expansion of new product portfolios and existing product innovations.
The Candidate
You combine at least a Bachelor/Master Degree with a technical background and experience working in the relevant business from a sales and marketing perspective. Affinity with the design, construction and operation of processing plants is highly recommendable as is involvement in the complex development and negotiation of large industrial project contracts. Doing business and developing commercial networks across cultures and countries is something you feel comfortable and familiar with. Frequent presence (~40%) in the emphasis region of Southeast Asia will be beneficial and expected.
As a potential new colleague you have the commercial drive to help us maintain our best in class position and your strong communication skills support the connection with different internal and external stakeholders. Strong knowledge of the international contractor (EPC) world and the ability to bring our clients’ and Stamicarbon's interests together will be important assets to this challenging, important role.
